I am Josh Middlebrooks, President of Luxer One and Multi-Family Technologies at ASSA ABLOY. We are here at ISC WEST 2026 to show off the comprehensive multi-family ecosystem we have built around the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA platform. This digital infrastructure is designed to serve as the backbone of modern property management, unifying hardware, residents, and property managers into a single, cloud-based interface.

Introduction to the Multi-Family Ecosystem
A modern building starts at the perimeter. Our ecosystem begins at the front end of the building with the video intercom. We are focusing on a tech-forward approach that meets the high demands of today’s residents while providing security installers & integrators with a scalable, easy-to-manage solution.
Control iD Intercom: Biometrics and Facial Recognition
We are proud to highlight our partnership with Control iD to bring what we believe is one of the best intercoms on the market today. This unit features lightning-fast facial recognition, comprehensive directory capabilities, and the intercom functionality that modern, amenity-driven multi-family spaces require. For a deeper look at the biometric technology powering these units, see our review of the iDFace Max from Control iD.

Accentra Software: The Operating System for Properties
The heart of this entire solution is the ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA software. It is purpose-built to be easy for certified integrators to configure and simple for property managers to operate daily. Whether you are managing student housing, luxury apartments, or a sprawling multi-family complex, this cloud platform provides the oversight needed for both on-site and off-site management.

DoorBird Video Intercom Integration
We believe in giving our customers options. In addition to Control iD, we integrate with DoorBird for properties seeking an elevated, elegant aesthetic without sacrificing professional technology. DoorBird integrates seamlessly into the Accentra environment, providing high-quality video and reliable communication at the main entrance.

The Resident Experience: Mobile Credentials & Apple Wallet
Modern residents demand a contactless experience. We have invested heavily in mobile credentials and Apple Wallet support. This allows residents to use their wearables and smartphones as their primary keys. With Apple Wallet, residents can enjoy the convenience of "Express Mode," allowing them to unlock doors without even waking or unlocking their phones. You can learn more about the evolution of these technologies in our interview regarding Yale and Master Lock at ISC West.

Parking Management and Door Readers
Security does not stop at the front door. We offer parking readers and interior door readers that utilize vehicle tags. By placing a tag in the car, residents gain automated, secure access to the property parking garage, ensuring a smooth transition from the street to their unit.

The Best Door Hardware in the Market
Accentra unifies brands that property owners already know and love. Our ecosystem now integrates Kwikset, Level Lock, and standard Accentra hardware (formerly Yale Commercial). Whether the project requires online locks, offline locks, physical fobs, or mobile keys, we can do it. For help selecting the right hardware for your units, check out our Yale Smart Lock Buying Guide or our review of the Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch.

Integrated Package Management with Luxer One
Package management is no longer a luxury; it is a required amenity. With the rise of e-commerce, property managers are overwhelmed by deliveries. We have partnered with Luxer One to bring package management directly into the Accentra experience, creating a unified building operating system.

Control iD Intercom in Action: Live Demo
In our live demonstration, we show how facial recognition instantly detects a resident and unlocks the door. For those who prefer physical credentials, a quick tap of a fob accomplishes the same. If a visitor arrives, they can call the resident via the directory. The call comes through the Accentra app, offering two-way audio and one-way video so the resident can securely "slide to open" from anywhere.

Smart Lock Products: Ben Marcus on Apple Wallet Express Mode
I am joined by Ben Marcus, Sr. Product Manager, to demonstrate our smart lock lineup. The Apple Wallet integration works in Express Mode - you simply present your phone to the reader, and access is granted. This same credential works for the parking garage, the main entrance, and the individual apartment door. For units with Kwikset or Level locks, residents can also use the app for remote unlocking or utilize a PIN code.

The Building Operating System: Packages and Notifications
Accentra is more than just access control. When a resident buys something online, they receive a notification within the Accentra app the moment the package is delivered to a Luxer One locker. They receive their pickup code and can head to the locker at their convenience.

A Unified Operating System for Modern Properties
The ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA digital platform is more than just a security upgrade; it is a fundamental shift in how multi-family communities operate. By unifying everything from perimeter video intercoms and parking access to individual apartment locks and package management, we are helping properties move toward a fully contactless, connected future.

This ecosystem creates a seamless experience for residents while providing owners with the robust digital infrastructure needed to scale their operations. Check us out online or through our social links to learn more about how we are redefining the standard for modern property management.

Partner Perspective: A Benchmark for Modern Multi-Family
Oleg Bordiian, Founder of Pipl Systems, shared his perspective on the Accentra ecosystem following the live demonstration:
Another strong and highly illustrative solution we captured at the ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions - US booth during #ISCWest2026. Together with Joshua Middlebrooks and Ben Marcus, we explored how ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA®, formerly Yale Commercial acts as the backbone of modern property management.
The core idea is bringing multiple systems together into a single cloud based interface. In the video, we walk through live demos showing Accentra seamlessly integrating with hardware like Control iD and DoorBird video intercoms.
What really stands out is the resident experience:
- - Building access through video intercoms, including biometric scenarios such as facial recognition
- - Mobile credentials replacing traditional cards and fobs
- - Apple Wallet support allowing residents to use their smartphones as keys from main entrances to apartment locks
- - Integrated solutions for package management and parking, all within the same platform
In essence this is what a fully contactless, connected building looks like today, where all access points and services are unified under one system. For integrators it is a clear benchmark for modern deployments. But more importantly this is something developers and property owners should pay close attention to. Because today building a modern property is no longer just about design, it is about the digital infrastructure behind it. And platforms like Accentra from ASSA ABLOY are quickly becoming the standard for multi family environments.
